1.Preparation #
1.Assembly Tool: A 6mm Allen key tool, as shown in the image below.
2.Precautions #
1.Please read the instructions on the protective cover carefully.
2.Remove the protective cover and check if the hub cap is stuck to the protective cover.
In image 1 below: The hub cap is stuck to the protective cover (if this is the case, please follow steps 3 and 4 of this section).
In image 2 below: The hub cap is properly positioned on the hub.
3.The difference in the front wheel hub cap is shown in the images below: The “L” for left side is lower, the “R” for right side is higher.
4.The hub cap “L” should be reinstalled onto the disc brake side of the hub, while the hub cap “R” should be reinstalled onto the opposite side of the hub, as shown in the two images below.
3.Installing the Front Wheel #
1.Remove the yellow plastic pin from the brake caliper. (Note: Do not squeeze the brake lever on the handlebar while in this state until the Assembly is completed; otherwise, the brake pads will clamp tightly, requiring you to reset them before proceeding to the next step.)
2.Using a 6mm Allen key, loosen the front fork axle in the direction of the arrow.
3.Apply a suitable amount of boundary lipid to the threaded area of the axle, as shown in image (1). Boundary lipid for reference, in image (2).
4.Properly insert the front wheel.
5.Check that the brake disc is fully seated in the caliper.
6.Insert the front fork axle.
7.Use a 6mm Allen wrench to tighten the front fork axle in the direction of the arrow. The tightening torque should be 9–13.5 N·m, as shown in the image below.
